What say the "hot hot hot" drum beaters . . .
. . . about this? A friend (Tim C.) pointed this listing out to me.
At first eyeball, it does't have any of the usual scam tells, so if legit, is it simply under-priced, or is this representative of what Turbos are actually selling for (not talking about the few and far between, pitiful, low mile garage queens or celebrity owned examples that have sold for big money), as opposed to the meth-head asking prices that seem so common now? I guess we'll see when/if it sells, but no guarantee that anything will be seen since most sellers remove the prices from their listings once a sale is made. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cars-sale/924254-fs-1978-porsche-930-turbo.html Just think, it the car is legit, this could be the opportunity for one of youse goons still puttering around in Fred Flintstone powered machines (the two Matts come to mind, butt there are plenty of others here that qualify!) to graduate to man-style motoring! I went to a muscle car auction a couple of weeks ago and there was a 1987 930 with 100K miles on it which I would consider driver quality. It was the only Porsche there and definitely not the venue for a Porsche. The bidding went to 72K and did not meet reserve so no sale. I would consider the car you mentioned above to be way under priced. Looks like a great deal for anyone looking.

So it turns out it was a scam perpetrated by someone who stole that seller's user ID.
Hopefully none of you boyz-wanting-to-become-men had already sent money!!! |
