I was directed to this site by Roy Smalley from TX
He suggested I introduce myself and try to get constructive direction on how to intelligently value a fairly rare piece of Porsche history, an original 110L fuel tank I have a client that has entrusted me in liquidating a large amount t of various sports car parts (XKE, A-H 100/3000, Kaiser Darrin, 356 and a few select early 911 items) and this tank is part of it I have done some Google research on the 110i tank and have found a German eBay sale (it was ended early) for 9,500E and a damaged one from California that sold for ~$6250. I also realize that they reproduce these in Europe somewhere for 3,000E Anyone care to offer their opinions on what this is worth today? I've shared my findings with the owner and he also suggested this forum. He also suggested we place it on eBay with a "best offer" choice, but not knowing what price to place it to start is part of my dilemma. ![]() ![]() Last edited by al8apex; 09-14-2016 at 12:26 PM.. |

I would say put a $3k reserve, maybe $5k BIN ( or whatever you are comfortable with)...definitely turn on best offers...
Just pissing in the wind tho.... Really would be interested in Techweenies assessment. MattR
