No affiliation with this craigslist add in CT but saw it the other day. A set of 4 cookies (2-6"x15" and 2-7"x15") for $425. I see you are in MA which isn't too far from CT. Might be worth a drive.

Cookies are great wheels. Especially for 914/6 conversions. $425 is a very good price if they're still straight.

Thanks guys, did not see that ad.
I made an offer on the sixes. Sevens won't fit my narrow bodied car.

As a P.S. on this.
The sevens do not fit as suspected, but probably will if I roll the fenders. I do like the look, and will probably restore these cookies.

Had a guy pull up at Ski Roundtop last year with a truckload of cookie cutters, I bought the whole load at $35 each, most still has racing slicks on them.

I've had 7 of them stacked in the corner of my shed for the last 20 years. If I could get 35 bucks a piece for them they'd be gone.

Come on now. You talk about them like they're pieces of ****. They actually look very nice on the right car.

cookie cutters are great wheels for rollers , track tires , snow tires , tires you put on a car to take to the body shop etc
Fully polished they looked OK too..... has anyone just polished some of the flat areas and painted the rest ? or other non-stock ideas ?

I wanted these for autox.
There is a reason Unobtanium is buying these up, and it is not for scrap. ![]()

luki,
polishing cookies is a very nasty time consuming project if you don't have the right equipment. I tried doing most of the work by hand with varying weights of wet sand paper. Spent almost 12 hours going through about 4 different paper grades on one wheel before I gave up and took them to a guy with the right equipment to do the job right. They came out beyond beautiful as far as I'm concerned. Just what I wanted. Storing the fuchs for now. ![]() Good luck. Rob

I'm interested in the 6x15 also. I need one to complete my set. Silver, unmolested aged finish to go with my aged autox 914 look. At $35 I'd be in for a few if available.
