Do Sheep in the Pic's add to value?

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cars-sale/930132-1984-carrera-targa.html

A prime example of failing to properly "Stag" your for sale Pictures.....Also, is that a tow strap leading from the car to the riding mower? Did it have to be towed out of the weeds for photos?

Well he's getting multiple of the exposure of a regular ad so I'd say it worked

Target audience.
Some put hot chicks in their photos to attract guys to look at the add.
Apparently this individual thinks sheep will attract viewers.

I really like the fact that it had to be towed by the small tractor. Adds value.

Common, It's obvious he's going after the "Barn Find" trend that is so popular.

Does it count if you "find" it in your own barn?

I think the next wave will be shills finding cars in your barn and bringing them to market for you.

Matt,

You're as cynical as I am. The garbage that goes on with sellers of cars on eBay and elsewhere knows no end. I used to spend some time pointing out the real garbage sellers. In the end there are too many uninformed buyers for people to pray on.

I would not be surprised by anything at this point, with all the shills, title stories, flipping, etc etc that goes on.

Flagrant, discriminatory attitudes toward our wholly brethren seem to be the norm in the Pelican, Porsche community - why must ya'll always live down to the stereotype of, "Porsche owners = pompous Richards"?! Why do you guys (not just the Boxster, 924 and 912 owners either, and ****) feel so threatened by docile herbivores? I'm calling PETA!

Why not? I have "found" plenty of things I forgot I owned. Give me 40 acres, a couple of out buildings and a few years worth of Glaucoma medicine and there will be no end to the things I'll find...

He wants $40k. I'm assuming it runs. If so, this could be the worst staged car I've ever seen.
Does he think the tow rope makes the car look better? Or the ajar hood? The car looks totalled in the first pic.

Hard to believe based upon the lack of effort which went into his posting that he was ever seriously interested in selling the car. If the car were really nice with just 60k orig miles, posting pics of the towed out of some backyard field, leaving the front hood open, the front carpets removed and a bunch of sheep hovering around the car, says something about the Seller's poor mental state, and/or lack of common sense in trying to sell a car like this.
The guys is looking for serious buyers, but clearly is not a serious or realistic seller.
