Bad paintjob - impact on value
Wow, just wow. Even if the paint job were done by a blind monkey I would not be impressed.
No rust, hmmmmmmm. But a new coat of the original Aubergine will make it a 100k car - or so the seller says. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cars-sale/922392-1972-911-t-non-sunroof-coupe-orig-aubergine.html |

I'd buy it and paint it either olive green, sepia or slate grey (non-metallic).
I'm ok with well done color changes.

Little or no rust, (that hasn't been painted over).
Looks like a brush was used. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Figure $25,000 for a good paint job with minor surface rust repair But then all the other worn parts would stand out.
If that paint was good enough for the PO; how worn is the chassis and engine?

My only point was that this is a great car for someone to buy and paint it their favorite early 911 color without worry (or regret) of being the first to color change a car with an original paint color. Like any other $50k early 911, there is rust but I still like this car and think it is a good match for the right type of buyer.
