996TT DME report opinion
Looking at a 2003 996 Turbo.
71k miles Now for the concern, DME: Range 1 # of ignitions: 22228 2272.4h Range 2 # of ignitions: 462 2214.5h Operating Hours 2290 Needs new front brake rotors and the wing motors will need replacing. I can get it for low 30's but this car has been tracked, pushed, and abused (I am assuming). Should I run or roll the dice? |
Does it have a tune. With the rev limit raised?
That would explain things. |
pushed and abused, maybe. Tracked, normally you see a lot of nosebleed mods, like the ****ing scrotch harness that everybody seems to think is a must have. And welded coolant lines.

Worry more about the knock you described on Rennlist. I'd pass based on that, not the DME.

I think the price is right as you're not going to find one less expensive than that.

Range 3 and 4 are a better indicator. Does it only have first two ranges on this model?
