Early 912 market

Hey guys- wanted to get some advice. I saw this ad posted

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cars-sale/937735-2-matching-number-early-porsche-projects.html

It made me wonder what early 912 project are selling for these days. Looks like no glass, dash is questionable, needs a repaint and that's just from looking at the pic. I'm sure engine needs rebuilt and transmission and clutch prob need attention. It seemed like $20k is a high buy in to drop at least $10k/$10k for just paint and engine.

What are your guys thoughts? Are early 912s sought after by people doing early 911 restores as part source? Just curious.

I would say $20K is high. Unless it is a painted dash, there isn't really any extra large value to having it be an early 3 gauge.
