1971 911
Hi all. Came across a 1970 911 (?) in a barn. The car doesn't have the original engine but has a 3L with webbers I think. The car has been butchered - has large fiberglass flares and plastic bumpers. I was told the car has gas in it but hasn't been started in two years. Has very nice 7&8 (looks to me) Fuchs. The car can apparently be for sale. I have only been able to get within about twenty feet. I spoke with the owner but didn't have the time to get into details with him (wife was tapping her feet). What do you think would be an approximate price? I realize I will have to give it a thorough inspection - I own an early 911S . I am well aware that it could be a money pit.

Are you able to get pictures of the car in question? It may be easier/helpful in getting a clearer value.

I have been thinking about this post. Since you own an early 911S, one of the most desirable 911's out there, all I can think of is to ask "why?"
Your self described money pit sounds like an ugly frankenporsche that needs work. Why would you tackle such a project when you've got one that will always be better? Unless of course the price is too good to be true and you just want a DD beater. Still....

Pictures and a price are everything to this thread.
