964 speedster

A collector friend of mine wants me to sell off some of his cars. First up 94 speedster but I don't know much about the newer cars or speedsters so looking for approx value to list it. 68,000 miles, tiptronic, wide body, good all round condition, not perfect, various chips/scratches, driver condition. Theft salvage title from a long time ago. Drives perfect.

Salvage title ? Need more details to why, plus still a big argument about if Porsche actually built a wide body Speedster, and if it was ordered through Special Wishes, it needs to be documented.
Last, a Tip???
Does he have any documentation to back up the car??
Between the Salvage title, wide body and tip, sound more like a 964 cab that was turned into a Wide Body Speedster than the real deal..
Wouldn't be the 1st time a collector claimed a car to be something it wasn't.
Sorry, but need documentation and pix before anyone can give you a realistic value.

He had porsche verify it is a genuine speedster, one of only 20 put through the special wishes dept at factory as shown by the tiptronic of which there were only 16. He did his homework before buying it.

Interesting. Back in 97 my 94 Speedster was stolen from my garage in Santa Monica. About ten years later I was contacted through Pelican by a member who had bought it from CHP at auction. He saw my signature and took a shot asking me. Sure enough it was my old stolen Speedster. He was converting it to a wide body.

Not a lot of examples out there to base value on.

If the wide body had been a factory M491, the car would have stellar value potential. Aftermarket widebody conversion works against it. I believe the median value of a 94 Speedster is around $120K. Hit it for -$30K for the salvage title.

This is the blue car? If so, it's not a factory wide body.

A driver quality salvaged modified tiptronic..... add flood damage and you've got a full house.

50K on a good day, maybe.
