Value of my '76 C3 DE car

Trying to get a ballpark value on my 1976 Carrera 3.0 #384 of the 1079 sold coupes that year. Might have come from Europe through Rick Cabell in the early 80's.
Never registered for street use in USA. Before I bought car it came from the stable of
Daniel Jacobs 'Hairy Dog Garage' in CT. and was set up for class D club racing. Only 1 club race in log book, I used from 2008 -2012 for AX-DE-Time trial here in San Diego region.
Some time before I bought the car, engine was replaced with a 930/10 210 h.p Euro engine which has a 964 grind on the cam for improved performance.
Original color Continental Orange with a quality respray minus the yellow in formula for a redish-orange color. Strong running car and a blast to drive, hate to see her go. But have no time and she's been sitting in my garage and not on the track since the end of 2012 time trial series. No damage to car from any event.
Still have interior pieces, steering wheel, spare tire, stock interior except front seats, working sunroof, nice headliner & dash.
Here's a few pics. Thanks, Rick

The non original engine causes a big hit on value. Probably - $15-20k worth. I'd compare it to similar early 911 SC race cars. Not sure on that market as I have an all original C3 Targa.

You say never registered for the street. Do you have a title? Depending on the new owner's plans, the answers would have a big impact on value and ability to sell the car. If it's only going to be a track car forever because of title issues, having things like the interior don't mean much.

I'll throw out $30-40k. The C3 vin is worth more than an SC vin, but missing engine is a hit. There was a track rat C3 that was sold on RL last year and people told me I was crazy telling the guy he could get close to $50k out of it. His car was numbers matching, clean title, and he got very close to my number if memory serves.

It was sold to me with a bill of sale only. Never registered here in the states, could be a good canidate to go back to it's homeland. It might be worth it to someone as I have a lot of interior pieces and finding a 930/02 numbers matching engine. These cars in 5-10 years could be well north of 100k and this car could be done with #'s matching engine for $20-25k. It's finding the engine, I know of one here in San Diego but have never approached the owner.
Thanks for the replies guys!

FYI, I've contacted Rick Cabell as in the early 80's he brought in about 30 of these C3 cars to the Northeast, he said this could be one of them. I know the engine is a minus but the 930/10 Euro has more h.p. (210) and grunt down low compared to the 930/02 were it comes on in the higher revs

You might also drop a line to Bill Verburg. He owns one of these and is pretty well connected to the C3 community. Might help you find a buyer and/or get a close up view of pricing from someone party to more transactions than the public sees.

Nice ones will already command 6 figures. There's no 5-10 years about it. The primo cars are there already.

Can you send me Rick Cambell's information. Trying to trace the history of my C3. I know it was once registered in Pennsylvania in the early 1990s. The previous owner to me found it in Middle Tennessee. The last maintenance entry in the owners manual is 1982 in Germany. So I assume it came to the states in the mid 1980s.

Me Too Dan!! (hip replace 2 weeks)
Great job on car, didn't realize your were on this site.
I bought it from Michael Grimaldi, strong runner and winning car in it's class.
Seems like that area is a hot bed for Pcars Bought 2, sold 1 in CT.
