Question Does anyone know anything about Carat Brand Seats

I just picked up these seats from a fellow Pelican member. I'm not trying to sell them, just want to find out when they were made and where they were made. Seller thought they were from the 80's and Germany but there's no tags anywhere on them except the backrest one. They are tube frame and foam with webbing on the bottom. Could not find anything on Google. Thanks in advance.

I'm not out to bust your balls D, though it may appear that way. bad thread move IMO. none of the jokers here will know a seat that does not have sheep skin actually sewn to them as recently as this week. give the OP the eyes of the tech forum to see if someone recognizes the brand. if he bumps it every day, well then move it. he stated he did not want to sell them, never asked about value, just about the brand and who knew what.

bad thread move, I move you move it back with an apology. or just bump another 7 y/o thread about water cooled heads in an air cooled tech forum with some so cal shop recommendations.. atta kid!

Anyone? One cool feature is that they actually have a reclining mechanism in them. Fabric gets a little scrunchy when moved forward, but I've never seen that in a seat that looks like a rigid bucket.

I'm with Toby. This needs to be where eyes that know what they are frequent. This isn't a value question. It's a what are they question.

you should reach out to Dmitry via PM and ask him to move this back to the tech forum. please point him in the direction of my & M2's post on the topic. or PM wayne with a grievance regarding the moving of the thread. I called it BS a couple days ago & still feel that way.

I called D out of the bumping of a 7 y/o water cooled topic in the aircooled forum both here & in that thread.

That thread doesn't IMO.

Difference to me is the technical content and the resulting responses from the other members of the forum. The OP elicited zero feedback when this thread was posted in the 911 Technical forum after that many days. I believe D did it a favor by moving the thread here in hopes of getting an answer to his brand query.

Given there are objections to this thread being here, that's why I suggested OT as the next stop.

OK, I just did realize the thread was 3 days old before it was moved. still think it did not harm letting it lie.

what I want to know is Dmitry the son wayne alludes to in the model build thread he recently posted? cause if not when I retire I want his job, or maybe pmax would be a better candidate for forum barney fife?
