Steering Wheel reconditioning

Looking for the best steering wheel reconditioning company for my 3-spoke steering wheel. (see pic) The leather wrap is slightly worn and needs new leather & re-stitching. Also wondering if anyone has used Dallas Steering (Dallas TX) for this type service?

Thanks,

Hal

I have been getting my steering wheels (and shift boots) done at Alan Gunn (AGLA) in FL. Sometimes it takes a little longer, but Alan is a good guy and actually answers his phone personally. He has done several "to spec" jobs, which all came out beautifully.

steering wheel

Thanks for that info. Ive heard of his shop too. Glad to know he does quality work and I'm not in a hurry so the turnaround time is not a big factor.

I used Carbone in Poland and they did a phenomenal job on my Victor SW and pricing/turnaround were very digestible.

Dallas Custom has been hit or miss. I've had him do a few steering wheels of mine all with diminishing quality and higher prices. The last wheel he did for me was pretty bad (I looked at his photos he sends and took a chance). When I received it I asked him to recover it again, hoping it would come out better. It came out even worse and I had to get my credit card company involved to reverse the charges.

I've had the complete opposite experience, never answers phone and still haven't heard back from him after leaving multiple messages.

Alan is far from perfect, as am I. In the end, I want a nice product at a fair price. As long as someone is straight with me, I can be patient
Fast/good/cheap. Pick any two.
