968 Values?
Anyone know what "condition 3" 968s are actually changing hands for?
I've seen some listed around 10-12k and none of them seem to have sold. |

Outside perception - I'd own one but wouldn't pay 10 or 12 for even a condition 3.
I think these people are in the right range, but 968 is a niche market. If I were a seller, I would hold my price pretty firm, especially when the market commands 10k+ for clean e30s. |

On BaT they sell for $10k+. This month's Excellence price guide shows between $10k-$20k.

I was looking for a while and had to act fast to pick one up for $12.5 before someone else beat me to it. Since I bought it I went thru the gear box, fixed all the oil leaks, clutch, water pump, timming belt, etc. Not sure what a condition three is worth but when you take a $12,500 968 and put another $7K into it to get it neat its going to have to be worth to you $20K in the end.
CJ Wilson Porsche Fresno thinks his speed yellow 968 is worth $75K. In his world thats the mark up over list for a 991 RS. People that shop that market can write a check for $75 K for the 968 easy and you wont hear about it My purchase from Pelican. I bought it sight unseen. Glad I did. Way better car than my 993, just say'n http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cars-sale/896264-1992-968-coupe-6-spd-manual.html 43 views per hour Local to me on craigslist https://seattle.craigslist.org/est/cto/d/porsche-968/6259203252.html Last edited by dsfnctn; 08-14-2017 at 07:12 AM.. |

$10-20K is correct, but I think a real clean, all-original, low-mile car would get more. I sold one on BAT a while back. '93 convertible, 1-of-1 combo with fairly low mileage - $16.5k 1993 Porsche 968 Cabriolet 6-Speed | Bring a Trailer I'm prepping my Midnight blue metallic coupe for sale now. It'll be on BAT in a few weeks. If you're looking to buy, now is the time. Selling.. not so much. I think they're ready for a price hike. I think you can find a condition 3 car closer to 10k - Just make sure maintenance has been done and documented as most in that condition are driven into the ground. Try to buy from an enthusiast. |

I have a one owner 95 6-speed for sale in So Cal. Ask is $17,750.
Many inquiries, but no serious offers. It's a niche car, but really quite a bargain.

Wow. That interior color is great - but I'd sure like it more in a gray or black car...
I agree on the color spectrum: in the mid-90s, Porsche pushed the envelope with colors like Mint and Amethyst and Maritime Blue...

With that said, I do have respect for them, and remember them well brand new at the dealership. Rare cars though. I almost bought a project years ago in LA for $3K. That was a deal - needed a motor though - it was a light blue. |
