79 911SC Targa

A elderly friend has a 79 SC Targa, fresh engine (less than a 1000 miles) built by a very reputable shop. Paint & int are rough, but there (door pockets in a box. Aftermarket hard top and tail, but H4s & 7X16 Fuchs at all four corners. Since his back surgery, can can no longer work a clutch or get in and out of the SC.
He wants $25K, think that is a fair price, and it is rust free as well.

Seems very rough - 25k seems high to me. But if you can make money flipping it - more power to you!

Big plus is the rebuild. Big minuses are the aftermarket top, tail, weak paint and worn interior, as I'm sure you're well aware.

If the buyer fixes all those things, he might be scratching his head about what he has into the car at that point.

That said, a driver with a rebuilt engine for low $20's would go quickly I think.

Glad you added that Terry built the engine. I find people struggle to sell a car when advertising a rebuilt engine from some anonymous "well known" builder.

Well the OEM top is included at the $25k price, aftermarket wing unbolts (and I ft old him to do that)
