89 carrera on BAT

3hr left only 16k
Why so cheap?

Coa was wrong and bat posted total repainted change of color , I think that killed his auction . Idk we'll see in a few hrs. Had it been closer I'd be bidding.

Accident doesn't help. Still a deal in the mid $20s.

Seems like a good car for a great price.

Prices peaked in the summer of 2015.

This price was low, but just a little ahead of the downward curve. By this time next year, it won't seem so low.

3 hours left isn't any indication of where it ends up. In this case, $26.6K.

It was the cheese-ball wheels and the tail that totally, utterly killed it. It's hard to move beyond those awful, terrible wheels. I would much rather have cookie cutters or steelies than those. Those kind of wheels deserve to be on a period '89 BMW 325 E30 Cab...

Those wheels were horrendous. Coupled with the tail, ragged interior, and COA issues, not hard to see why it didn't do well.

The targa top is toast and needs to be rebuilt/recovered ~ +2k. Ugliest wheels possible.

Some of you may remember that when owners changed Fuchs to these types of wheels, it was the thing to do. I never thought so but many did. And yes, a wing on a Targa isn't the best look. All and all I think the buyer did well. The wing can come off and Fuchs purchased, BAM, good to go.

That car looks to have been changed considerably. Either the COA is wrong or that car was originally black with black leather. Now it's been changed to some god-awful pinkish metallic velvet crap. Yikes

That's was a error corrected on BAT ^.

U folks claiming the wheels are horrible have no clue what real horrible wheels are. Car was bought at a fair value for its description.

Oh no. They are horrible wheels on any 911. If they were gold, that would make them a tad worse. They were just palatable on my BMW 325 - but dated it quite a bit. No, they are horrible.

Glad to see I am not the only one who finds BBS wheels repulsive.
I know they are period correct German wheels, but that was before my time.
To my eyes, they just look like they belong on a riced out Civic. Gold spokes are even worse.

Those are RZ on that 911, and I agree they do not look good on that car at all. Someone must've sold the fuchs off it. And to say BBS RS are horrendous... you need your eyes checked.

This is how good deals are bought.
Stupid simple things become major stumbling blocks for buyers. Sometimes it is not even the car like bad grammar/spelling in the ads. Sometimes it is the car like those easily replaced wheels, and other stupid simple stuff, there are deals still out there for those not so put off by the superficial stuff.

Now paint and interior would be an expensive fix, unlike wheels.
