Help pricing RUF speedliness
Hi guys,
I am returning my '87 911 to stock Fuch wheels, so I'll be listing my RUF Speedlines shortly. Can someone help me determine a realistic asking price? Fronts are 17x8 E30.4, rears 17x9 E17.7. One rear wheels has a scuff from a curb (see pic). On both rears and one front wheel the paint seems to have blemishes. To touch, they feel smooth, but they look like little lines. To be really nice, the wheels would likely need to be repainted. Thanks for any recommendations on pricing. Alex

I own quite a few sets and am currently looking for a pair of 10's.
that being said you may not like what I say. The 8's and 9's seem to sit on the market longer opposed to the wide body 10's in rear. If really nice with original or the more desired finish with the machined and clear coated lips I would say 3-3500. I would expect to pay at least 1k to have a set refinished so I would hate to pay over 2k for a set needing work, wheels only. Original Speedlines is a plus and center caps are good. I was recently offered excellent condition 9's and 10's Speedlines for 3k. Best price I have seen in a while.

I would have someone do a light, really light, sand and shoot a coat of clear on them. They may come out really nice.
I have a set on a narrow body 911 that have some corrosion in the clear coat. This will be my first try before having someone strip them. Someone with first hand experience will chime in.

The only problem is that if they actually do come out nice, I’d be tempted to keep them! 😋 Opening up some garage space is an added benefit of selling the wheels. Will list them for sale as soon as I have new tires mounted on the Fuchs.

I looked into them a while back and it was the machined lip that seemed problematic as far as refinishing goes. Best wheels outside of fuchs!!

The lips are actually cnc cut and you need a 3 axis cnc machine to do them correcty. When I refinished my set I sanded and polished them a bit and they came out great.
