Not a lot of details provided but any opinions on this car?

I believe it is a 68 912 tub that is in the process of having a 911 engine installed. It has non original seats and roll bar. Non original but could make a cool daily driver.

Why does it say 911L on the hood? Car looks sweet. I'm guessing there's a lot that needs to be done at that number.
Why do they call it a 912?

Looks like a fun project for a fair price at 24k
A rusted and poorly repaired 1968 912 with out a engine and transmission just sold for $15,000 on BAT https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1968-porsche-912-14/ makes this look like a pretty good deal. Rust is the key and there are no underside pictures of this 912/6

definitely not to be bought sight unseen.

I don't know about a daily driver unless you live way back on a long, twisty mountain road... might be a fun hotrod, or dare I say outLAw project?

April is my 6 year old. My wife only cares about one car, the 99 Impreza. She only drove the Boxster once in 2 years.

I bought a rusty 75 targa. It's going to be a long term project and gives me something to run around in the next year or so while the 74 is torn down too far to drive it. I've got to have the front pan on the 74 done, so will go through the brakes, suspension, and fuel system while it's apart. I've also been assembling engine parts to build an engine for it.

There is a pic of a drunk chic crawling through a doggy door that I'm really tempted to post here, Tobs!

Did you catch the shenanigans involving that pic in SugarWoody's thread in the 911 Tech forum (the "My car handles like a dump truck" thread)?

Nope. I ducked out of that thread after page 3.

I had forgotten how big the weight difference feels. I’ve been driving the 86 daily recently. Last night I drove the 75 home from Boulder for the first time. 80hp less and a freaking 901 gearbox and the car just feels quicker. I doubt it really is but it sure felt light.
