BHCC has a (nice) 78 930

I have to say if you want a early 930 this is something of a steal in mostly original condition. It is also in a VERY attractive color both exterior and interior. Period recaros in correct interior color and period gold 934 style wheels add to the provenance.

Obviously it has ISSUES and the price reflects it.. BHCC had a gold/green 930 earlier this year that was stunning as well. They seem to find quite special cars. However they are always in need of attention some a great deal of it.. The asking prices are set with the issues in mind however.

Looks like it's under hard acceleration just sitting there.

I believe US ride height back in the day to be something close to this..

Looks mostly original and no serious modding is event that is not easily reversible.

Looks as though it it hasn’t been altered since new (1978) which I find exciting!

At the height of the turbo craze that would've been snapped up so quick! Now not so much. I do like it, especially a rarely optioned model. Are those the Dr option front seats? Similar to the Peter Gregg car we just saw?

They look like Recaro model C seats. Could of been a dealer installed option- at the time those were some high end seats.

Looks to have a twin plug distributor in there so engine is likely not stock at all. Pretty cool overall but not sure about being a steal at the offering price.

Extra super duper PPI for that car.

A minor, easily fixed detail, but is funny to see the suction and discharge refrigerant hoses secured(?) to the compressor fittings with common hose clamps (as opposed to crimps). At lest the compressor is a much better one than the car came with.

Wish they would reproduce those tires! The more I look at this it’s a absolute period 930. Everything from its era. The late 70s.

BHCC? I wouldn't buy a horse cart from them. Caveat emptor.

I see this sentiment a lot about them. In my experience they are pretty damn transparent regarding the condition of their cars. They list and sell a ton of shyteboxes. that seems to get them criticized. Someone has got to drag out and dump all the rotting cars. They are pretty good at it, imo.

I think this 930 is overpriced, as are many cars BHCC lists, but it all depends on how negotiable they are.

I feel this is a steal.. this 930 really doesn’t need all that much. With the color it is and it being a early 3.3 I see this as a shrewd buy especially in 5 years or so.

Caps are typically used to denote emphasis on something the writer thinks is particularly big or important.

How do you know the car has ISSUES?

Oh, wait ...

How do you know the car really doesn't need all that much?

But it’s a 78. It’s special. Issues be damned.

Ditto. Totally agree. They seem to have the Porsche junk market cornered. The stance of this 930 is quite possibly the ugliest I’ve ever seen. Overpriced as well.

At $79k that car better have thorough documentation and a healthy engine and transmission. If not it's definitely not steal.
