Need help with Vehicle ownership history
Can someone give me the name of a good search engine to find the previous number of registered owners of a vehicle. I believe it has always been a California car. All I have is the license plate number.

my chick was car shopping recently and informed me a license plate number was all you needed for a Carfax. I can not confirm this, and the older the car the less effective Carfax seems to be.

the CA dmv can give you the CA history of owners if you are the current owner. Look up INF70 form.
