Is this car worth $40,000 1989 Coupe

Hello
Looking to buy a 1989 with 84,000 Miles at $40,000

It’s red velvet, linen interior, 3 owner car, older tires, uses no oil, good compression.
It’s got good interior, and a few paint defects. Original paint, good Fuchs.
Is this priced ok.
Thanks

Very good price imho assuming it's not a flood car, salvage or other hidden issue.

89 911 coupe

Can't help but notice the first picture showing the spoiler is of a Targa, not a coupe...

Where's the whale tail in picture number 2? Different Fuchs? I smell fish.

Do you get both for $40k? I kinda like the idea of a matched pair. Does he have the Cabrio too?

Sorry

Sorry, guys you are good

The car I plan to buy is the Coupe, one is a Targa.
I stuck the Targa picture to better show the color, I had one good picture to post.
I have more but cannot seem to save images to my photos. If I could I would submit.

The biggest heart burn for me is red velvet, offered I am told only in 1989. I never seen another, but google color for more pictures. Sometimes in the sun it looks a little puckish red, I am not good at colors, when in shade looks of course a darker red. Most photo found were 944 or 928 Cars

Some people made fun of the color, and some hate linen interior, so I want to kept because I like these 1989 models.
Thoughts.
Thanks

That's a bargain assuming no undisclosed body damage or issues.

If it passes a PPI with no major issues it's a deal. Buy it.

The color is Velvet Red. I'm biased, of course, but I like it. It's one of those colors that appears differently in different lighting conditions. Mine has a grey interior, which I prefer. I could deal with a tan interior...

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1989-porsche-911-carrera-targa/

but not with white...

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1989-porsche-911-carrera-targa-2/

It's a difficult color to match if it needs some paint work.

I was looking almost exclusively for a black one, but when I saw this car it was simply too good to pass up. And 5 years and 15k miles of trouble free driving later, I'm glad I jumped on it.

Some people think 89's are worth a premium over 87-88, others don't. I think there's a thread on that.

$40k will buy you a nice 87-89. While that car sounds nice, at $40k it's no bargain. If you're not comfortable with the color, keep looking.

Please find me a sub-100,000 mile G50 Coupe for anywhere near $40,000.
