Yeah - that's a laugh! Here's the sellers ad: They also point out the interior is matching Brown! https://www.iaai.com/Vehicle?itemID=26695673&RowNumber=14&loadRecent=Tr ue

Might want to use the proper model ID for a US spec '75: 911S - That might push the bidding all the way past $900!

You guys laugh but I pulled a Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Spyder (Daytona) out of a barn that looked much worse than this. It was during the hype of thirty years ago - and it was being sent back to Ferrari for a complete resto. Only the vin could be seen on the frame. Everything else looked like this car.

Somehow bringing back a '75 S (even though I am partial to this year) doesn't exactly make financial sense - yet.

Does the “Total Burn” describe the car, or how the buyer will feel after he takes possession of this crumbled up metal that they call a Porsche?

Do people take on these projects as a challenge, or out of insanity?

I can’t figure out why anyone would ever consider paying money for this thing. If this were parked on my property I would pay to have it removed. This must be a joke that’s it’s for sale, as if it has any value whatsoever.

I know nothing about restoring but I wonder if you could use the vin to build a car around?

I believe that would be called fraud. Both this car and its VIN need to be properly put to rest.

How the hell do you check if the mileage on it is accurate with an inoperable digital dash?

It’s more like hours, as in hours it’s been submerged.

I'm sure there's no fraud in the car business.

Well set up? Not necessarily...but undoubtedly a mite better than the Hemmings example!
