“Safari” 964 on BAT
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1991-porsche-911-carrera-4-4/
I haven't seen a lot of these for sale. Looks like a pretty good build and I'm sure the car is a boatload of fun. I wonder how these will be priced as time goes on with Leh Keen building a bunch of these out of G-Bodies. |
They deleted the ad they had here. It was in the $300s ask on it. Not gonna happen.

They have a 914 listed here - another seeming high quality, high dollar build. Ask is $225k. A screaming deal! - "the build cost was well in excess of $370,000" I mean, the bumpers alone took 600 man hours to create. The thing's got a 916 inspired gearbox! To get a gearbox with such lofty aspirations under a quarter-mill is really something.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cars-sale/988943-1970-porsche-914-6-gt.html The 964 is similar. Smoking deal.. the thing cost $330k to build! No way is the sale price even approaching that. Where's the ass for every seat emoji? PS - In the video they drive the 964 around sideways in the snow with the windows down - I bet it's due to the fact that the car would make you deaf if you didn't - either due to noise or suction pulling the eardrums right out your ears. Looks fun though. |
The Luft car sold for $275k, but it was also a charity auction. I don’t see the market for any of these rally builds over $200k as a stand alone car.

Hey, don't knock it! Have you ever tried inspiring a gearbox? I can tell you, you can invest 600 hours and the thing will barely budge! |
600hrs X 100 bucks shop rate.
That's a 60.000 bumper. Better be perfect |
