Do I pay more for PDK Paddle shift years ?
Here is my issue. I want to buy a 997 with PDK around 2008-2010. 2010 is at the very top of my budget. I am seeing great ones out there but few have paddles because it was an option. If I buy say a 2008 or 2009 I have to settle for thumb PDK. Are the paddles really worth going up a few years ? Not sure how feasible it is to retrofit. For those with paddles do you use them often off the track ?
Thanks David 84 Coupe 2006 4S Looking for a 997

On the road I rarely use the PDK features other than to select comfort/sport/Plus.
The system is so intelligent you rarely need to take over the shifts. Only when I’m in Plus and I don’t want to shift at Redline do I cheat by activating shifts early. And yes- you can buy a paddle shift steering wheel and upgrade if you hate the buttons. |

Thanks "LittleOldMan". Interesting and reassuring. Can I ask what year yours is ?
