Fred that Targa bar looks really sweet. I like what you've done with it.

Excuse me.. did you say 9300 RPM?!
![]() Your car looks and sounds like a lot of fun. I'm sure the look really freaks out the squares (also a lot of fun) |

I’ve got a single 914 seat in that tartan. I’ve always wanted to put it in my signal orange car.

motor
Hi,to answer a question the car does not run on pump gas.Compression Ratio is 14.31.This is not a DIY Motor.Wussies from California who want 93 Octane do not read this post.Pistons are Mahle Roitmeir that were12.5 to one. With the rod being longer at 132mm the deck is set slightly higher to compensate for the expansion.I am building a new short stroke with 66 x 98 for 3.0 with a 22.5 lb.forged chrome-moly crank with Ti rods of course. Will post soon. Thanks for your response.Ciao Fred

Wait 1870lbs! How did you do that? That’s crazy.

light weight
When you remove 4 pieces of glass.4 torsion bars.Gas tank.No wiper motor assembly.Doors were acid dipped.Magnesium center BBS.Boxster 4 piston calipers.Lexan windshield.Light recaros.Complete stainless exhaust.RSR aluminum rear shocks with Titanium springs.911/01 gearbox with Titanium spool instead of boat anchor differential. One light battery instead of two.ATL fuel cell it sheds weight pretty quick.I will be adding a second cooler to the right front fender when I remove the slant nose kit as H.P.makes heat.Turbo tail is going away for a 964 cup rear lid.Car was built in the 80,s when a T Targa was worth nothing.Yes the purists cringe but I like the lines of it plus it goes down the road very well.
