I'd say with that amount of miles and documents, you say 8,500??? Or 85,000? Either way, I'd say $56K.

If that's true, I would market it correctly, and make sure you have serious photos. You may get a lot more money than you think.

Certainly would get more than $56K. 8500 miles? There are buyers who only want original examples with very low miles. Doesn't get more original than that. I think it could garner much more than $56K. Much more.

I honestly don't see much more. '87 is not that rare. They made more in '86 and '87 than any other year.
I don't see many #1 condition cars. I would say it would be a #2 condition based on the fact that most are. And a #2 car is very nice and you rarely see those. Hagerty has a #2 car more than what I said ($57K) and a number one car at $76K. I really don't see a collector paying more than high-$50s for an example of a 1987 3.2 Carrera. If you think someone would pay much more, as in $20-$30K more than this, I don't see it because by then you'd be in another price tier and would consider more collectible 911s - much more than a pedestrian '87 Carrera. Most collectors are not hankering to add an expensive 3.2 to their collection, unless it's one of the last made. I would ask more than less for sure. But 'much more' into the $60K, $70K, or $80K region is too much. But then again, on BaT anything is possible with the right photos. On BaT maybe it would reach $100K nowadays. I guess it only takes one. |

You don't even know if it's a coupe cab or targa. Yea an 8500 mile 87 coupe that's 1 owner is worth a lot more than 50's. My guess is if it's a coupe and it's a true 8500 mile car in very nice conditions it could he worth 80s. Less for targas and less for cabs. BAT or no BAT.
Unless the car is a total turd with stories, paint work and or issues it's worth more than $50's. The 86 and 87 are much different cars too. Rather than waste time, give us some more specifics on the car and some pictures . |

Easily $90-100k car if like new condition. Cab/Targa/Coupe don’t matter. Not many sub 10k mile examples out there. Need pictures and details to give you accurate pricing though.

What's the highest a low mileage 3.2 has gone for? Has it been $100K?

Well, considering people are paying in the $50's for regular, old, nice 3.2's, a car like this is special, regardless of how many they made. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan nor endorsing time capsules such as this, but now that it's there and might be for sale, I think it could fetch 50% more. Can you imagine the nut jobs on BaT? Digital hysteria.
Not that it's worth that much, or not. But someone wants something like this and will pay dearly for it. Me? I'd rather have Fred's old beat up 356 he just found. Fred? Please? ![]()

If it could be verified, and seeing someone posted some recent numbers, it could be a high-dollar car. I would think that 1989s would be more valuable to a collector as it may really be considered 'the last of the old aircooled' - and really considering how much they were in 1987,1988,1989 - paying $100K would not be too far off if it's 'as-new.'
Driving something like this is obviously going to make it less special. There could be others around (like that 24K mile Targa on eBay for $69K) but I am somewhat dubious about low-mileage examples since 911 speedos are so easy to tamper with. Once it has any miles on it it's going to be worth less, so obviously it's going to take a special buyer (like a Ferrari guy - as those guys are NUTS over using their cars and putting any kind of mileage on them. In general they really oppose anything over 10K in miles). Will be interesting to see what it brings. |

Crazy seeing that cab that has less than 19K on it bring $25K less than the coupe. Open 911s still suffer.
