No, it doesn't sputter or anything, it just runs great up to about 4500 and sits there. Even if I press the gas to the floor, it won't get over 4500.

I agree. The paint isn't even 2 weeks old yet so would like to remove the lock. Just haven't quite figured out getting the arms out without breaking the white plastic pieces yet.

I'll check out the "cylinder in place" method first and see if I want to attempt it. Fresh paint job so want to be careful not to scratch it. Otherwise will pull the cylinder.
