When replacing the radio, do you bypass the factory amp & MOST bus, using the head unit for power? I always thought it was more complicated than just replacing the head unit.

Here's a thought, buy replacement fenders, roll...
Here's a thought, buy replacement fenders, roll them as needed, and have painted. Save the original fenders for when you want to return it to stock.

I would go for the lower mileage car. At 44k you may even need a new clutch soon, depending on the PO. You can pick up 18's when you wear out these tires for $1200 or so, and keep the 17's for winter...

The only engine #'s I see listed are for the change from double row to single row in 2000-2002 (M96.21 & 22) , not for the '05 change to the larger single row with the 22mm nut (M96.25 & 26)....
