I have heard others who presumably know that about 5 years would their change interval. I certainly would be more nervous if it were interference and assume it needed changing unless well documented.

I think age and treatment has more to do with interior wear than mileage. My 78 has about 60k miles and the seats were thrashed. Lots of sun damage.

Newer luxury cars imo have better wearing...
