Well new compressor is much lighter and much less drag on engine. The old York unit not very efficient. I would not think new one would hurt value of car, unless your going to show car as original

I believe just a regular dash mat would work just fine, maybe a lighter color than black. Think you just want to avoid direct sunlight on the dash. It’s really hard on the leather
