there is a company in texas which sells and installs the sanden compressor with "modern interior" blower unit which is identical to what came in the car back in the 70s..it is pricey $1800 for kit...

o.k. finally back on the road with a working a/c cooled 914! after 5 weeks in the shop the correct parts were installed and with some minor changes on the location of the second condensor...

well "only" 31 days since I dropped it off at the shop...my 914 now has a/c !! The" few day' project became a nightmare due to the wrong compressor bracket being shipped ....and the replacement...

back from Vegas ...great time but bummed to find a/c job still in limbo. It seems the wrong bracket was sent with the compressor and I had to have the shop fed x the "wrong" bracket back to Texas...

Same problem I have had in the past ...buy a new ignition switch from Pelican (get 2...they are cheap and chances are you will use the 2nd some day) down load the info from the tech help site on...

go to exhaust section of Pelican auto parts and view the Boursch muffler with cat muffler is $215 (I think) and cat an additional $37 These are made to fit your car (so says the site)
