yes, the difference is in the pistons as the W and EA had domed pistons while the EB had dished pistons.......
I would check the pistons or just run it as it doesn't make that much difference and...

There is a timing mark template in the tech articles on this site to make sure you set it up right.

Busdepot.com has the Bosch 1.7 injectors on sale...
Busdepot.com has the Bosch 1.7 injectors on sale for $39 which is a steal.
you have to look hard to find them on their site but use the 022 part number to search.
Forget using Autozone injectors...

The fabric hose soaks up any water that hits it including the acid water. Rots it out quickly so Porsche came out with the rubber coated acid resistant fuel line to solve this problem.
