I use a VERY thin application of Curil T2 on all gaskets, including o-rings. Others strongly disagree, but my 911 engine has no leaks.

Thanks again for the advice. Once the bracket was off, I was able to tap out the damaged sensor. To get the gap right, I was able to fit an angled feeler gauge between the new sensor and flywheel.

I found my problem. A pad sensor wire had pulled out of the connector. Probably over stretched when I was doing suspension work. I replaced the sensor and thw warning light goes out.
