Engine builder Mike Bruns @mbruns rebuilt my 915 last year and told me to use SWEPCO 201. He should know.

Thank you. The two springs are exactly the same as far as I can tell. I'm going to assume whoever was packing this order mistakenly grabbed a spring that had fallen out of another seal and packed it...

'86. Engine is out for a transmission rebuild, and I'm replacing the flywheel crank seal using Porsche OEM.

My seal arrived with an extra spring in the bag....

Got it.

I got it fitted. I used the stock bracket, but modified it to sit back about an inch more, and to engage the seam in the muffler about an inch lower. I also ground the muffler seam on the side facing...

Frank, the design on your muffler certainly makes sense. It looks like the pipes from your exchangers reach back a bit farther than the SSIs....
