Which oil for 540i Sport

Hi Guys i have a 2000 540i Sport 6speed manual E39 with 107000 on the clock.

Which oil should i use? I know i need a 0w/30 or 0w/40 but am torn between Mobil 1 or Valvoline synpower mxl 0w/30

Euro trip taking in LeMans 24

Just got back from our trip.

We went From Manchester UK to Geneva Switzerland, to Nice, over the Milau bridge and finally camped for 3 days in LeMans to watch the race.

Dipped headlamps

Help!

My dipped headlamps arent working, all i get is sidelights and main beam, the second stage on the pull switch in the dash appears to be doing nothing.

Any ideas gents?
