I think you’re right. Interestingly these never leaked and I found RTV in side the covers. Not sure why so much RTV would be needed on the “body” of the CV though.

Your CV's should be 108mm and the cap part number is 928.332.267.01, but you should check me on this, I've been confused on CV's for the better part of a month now :)

Agreed they are 69-71, but they used gaskets then not end caps. Not sure how these end caps were made to fit (or if they are from a different make of car).
