There are short bosses which index the x-member to the chassis where you removed the 3" long bolts. Not uncommon to lever with a screwdriver or crowbar to disengage the x-member from the bosses....

My 71 911T which is 10/70 built front end does not want to drop. Yes all the bolts are out. Does the adjusting torsion bar screws need to be removed?
Didn't want to go nuts with a crow bar or hammer...
