These pics are of a first gear on a 1980 911 sc. The gear teeth are new and the synchro is new. The problem is that when it is assembled the diameter of the synchro is almost .5mm out of spec too...

Removed the distributor and checked the drive belt, looks good.
I can run the engine on either coil as long as its plugged into the secondary...
