Solid (not blinking) "code" from KLR?
I hooked an LED to the KLR diagnostics plug after driving around the block a few times and then idling. I'm getting only a SOLID light without any blinking.

Do these ohm readings inidicate dead throttle sensor?
I have had a 1986 951 sitting in my garage for a couple of years now -- runs, but won't pass smog; idles funny; backfires periodically; instrument panel warning lights are ALL on all the time.

Thought about that, but I don't have any trouble with the throttle. If the sensor was bad, it shouldn't be so responsive to when it opens.
SOX, I'm about to open up the ISV, but was wondering if...

Briana,
Thanks for the reply. The '86 and prior models don't have ABS which requires the larger offset. So my wheels are the former - 23mm offset which won't work right with the 52's. But...

Ok, I am talking about the idle set screw. I have not had any interaction or review of the ISV. I thought that setting the proper idle speed was done merely by turning the idle set screw at the top...

I have only used the idle valve to set the curb idle.
Occasionally the idle fluctuates - typically in hot conditions at a stoplight the idle RPM will increase to about 1000 +/- 100, and then fall...

I assume that you mean by "loading up", an overly rich mixture can contaminat/flood the O2 sensor. Would it make a difference if it were an old/tired O2 sensor?
