Question squeak - help !!!!!

I have this really annoying intermittent squeak coming form the dash on my '82 SC ,

It happens between 60-80mph at around 3000 rpm - please tell me if you have had this problem or what it may be...

Pop Off valve effective ??

I am thinking of installing a pop off valve in my SC. Has anyone experienced an airbox explosion or a pop off valve actually 'poping'.
