Why do you think the volvo will see the RF TPMS when you say it uses wheel speed? The RF tpms will broadcast but if there is no receiver how can it work?

Update: Got the carbon removed from the head...

Got the carbon removed from the head by soaking it in undiluted simple green for a few hours. That was enough to soften it and I was able to scrape it off with a wooden scraper.
