I spoke to the original owner and he did, in fact, have the motor swapped out back in 1986. It threw a rod due to overboost, so they ordered a new one from Porsche...

Finally resolved

Not so fast...

The improvement didn't last long. Not sure why it improved at all considering the actual issue.

Took it in for a valve adjustment (I hate doing those) and asked my mech to take...

Low voltage at ac compressor lead - 84 930

The ac compressor clutch in my 84 Turbo failed to engage yesterday.

It was working fine a couple of weeks prior to that and the Freon pressure checks okay.
