Located on that plastic cap/plug is an o ring that needs to be replaced. When you purchase a cam cover gasket kit it comes with the kit. There is a snap ring on the back side holding it in place.

You need to replace the latch mechanism there are plastic bushings in the pocket where the pin sits. I am not sure if Pelican has them I got mine at 944online.com i think they were around $50 bucks...

I have an S2 with Hyper coils all the way around with Bilstien Cups and left in the torsion bars. Sorry Pelican but Lindsay Racing set this up for me it is unbelievable.
