Your amplifier should be powering a sub-woofer. My Alpine does and my 2000 C2 rocks...

Had my 2000 Carrera in for the LN Engineering IMS Retrofit at 40,000 miles.
The clutch was 99% spent and had it replaced along with the Rear Main Seal.
So 40K sounds about right for a clutch.

I bought my 2000 996 with 20,000 miles on her. Just replaced the IMS with LN engineering retrofit bearing, new RMS and new clutch. Like new and lovin' it as a daily driver.
