I have located a hard top for a 2001 986 / Boxster base. Just a few questions if anyone wants to chime in ?

The hard top is local so I won't have shipping charges and it looks like the paint code...

Alarm system and door locking mechanism

My new to me, 2001 Boxster appears to have some malfunction in the alarm system.

I can lock both doors with the fob. When I manually try to lock both doors with the key only the drivers side...

Did you say that you stripped the gas tank with a heat gun and a putty knife ?

Was the tank flushed completely before that process ?
