DIY maintenance and extended warranties
Warranties usually require proof of maintenance. Has anybody here that does fit maintenance experienced problems with warranty coverage?
I document my maintenance in a log (electronic on Evernote) which date stamps my notes and can retrieve receipts. Most of my cars are out of warranty so it really does not matter, but I just purchased a 2013 with extended warranty. I plan on creating a paper log of maintenance and receipts. Any thoughts and experiences?

We quickly made dealing with these third party carriers the owner's responsibility, you pay me, then try to get paid by them. I simply will not deal with them.

My experience is the Porsche dealers will try to force you into the $450 oil change with threats of voiding your warranty. They refuse to reset my maintenance reminder odometer. California, and many other states have tested right to repair laws and I believe you are on pretty solid ground warranty-wise as longs as you keep a log and receipts if you do your own repairs (oil changes).
