Electrical Connector Problem with Photos
I have an electrical connector with a loose wire. I can't figure out how to remove the pin so I can crimp or solder the wire. The female pin is loose in the connector (I can wiggle it with a pin tool), but I don't see any place to use a pin removal tool to remove the pin. Any advice?

Uncertifiable!!!

What year?
Looks aftermarket. Looks like there are three sections- outer, inner, and black retaining cover. I would guess that the black retaining cover will slide out if you relieve the locking fingers at each end. Then it will all come apart. Good luck. Johan

This is the connector for the right rear window on my 99 cabrio. The black retainer holds a small rubber plug that helps secure the pin. However, even with the retainer off and the rubber plug removed, the pin is still not sliding out of the connector.

Needs a special tool that slides over the connector terminal and depresses a small tang, the terminal will pop right out. SIR and OTC both make the tool.

Correct. There is a round tube that slides over the round connector pins from the front. Then you pull the connector out from the back (after you remove the black locking plate). It rarely pops right out, but it does come out,
