997.2 Turbo sold at auction twice?
I found a really nice looking 997.2 Turbo Cab PDK with 35k miles. Carfax shows no negative remarks. However, the car was sold at two different auctions over the past few years. Is that weird? Why is no one buying it off the dealer’s lot?omegle discord xender
Obviously PPI it part of the typical buying process, but I’m wondering if this is a sign of something strange. Last edited by BeckettColt; 03-28-2020 at 10:36 PM.. |

Hello and welcome to the forum! It doesn't seem odd to me - auctions generate a much wider audience with a ton of eyes on it at once. Since the car has such low mileage and 997s are in demand, they might think they can get top dollar for it there.
Some owners / dealers want a quick sell and go the auction route. Just my 2 cents...other members will likely chime in as well. |

I've rarely found 911's that were deals at auction. It's just a way to liquidate at near retail price in most cases (especially GTs and Turbos). I wouldn't consider it an issue.

I’m with an auto auction and honestly don’t find it strange at all. At a large dealer auction you have so many buyers in lane and online that when you have a really nice car like that turbo it does bring rain. Really nice Porsche’s with good Carfax and well maintained ring the bell. I bought my 2010 4s cab at auction and while I paid a bit more than I wanted too, it was still a great purchase. Hope you the best and hope you enjoy the car if you get it.
