Control Arm Link Bushings?
Can I buy new bushings for this? Seems like a reasonable thing to rebuild..but I can find them.
![]() Thanks.

Have you checked out our offerings from Powerflex Bushings? We have a variety of 996 and 997 bushings available from them. Although I am not certain what chassis this component is from you can use the vehicle category on the left side bar to narrow down the options.

The main problem with PowerFlex is they don't show what part their bushings fit, so your hoping it's what you want.
I do not see this part listed I would expect to see 'Control Arm Link Bushing'....

What year and model Porsche is it that you're looking for?
For the 996 chassis I am seeing we have inner and outer control arm bushings for the front, rear we may only have the inner bushings. |

You cannot. The actual casting body is pinched around the bushing. This is one that has to be a whole new piece.

Also, as per the rest of the conversation. The manual calls this part the diagonal control arm. But it is also called a thrust arm. And it is an articulation joint so that is why there is no way a power flex bushing would work.

There are compliant and non-compliant versions of this part

You can’t remove the articulating ball without destroying arm. Compliance would come from the outer control arm bushing. You can argue with me as I try to help. But you’ll just end up finding out what I’m already telling you. Spend $100 and buy new ones, but only if the rubber boot is shot or if you can feel play.
If you are referring to the EPS version of this arm, that’s an absolutely stupid part as it turns the thing into a spring. This part is not meant to have resistance to up and down travel. I’m already seeing why I avoided forums for so long…😏 |

That part is not anywhere near $100 where I live...hence the search.

Meyle 4160500024 is the aftermarket version for the 996. No need for OEM on this part.

I'm going to order a set when the border opens, the freight/duty is a killer for me.

It can wait. My son lives in Boston, but he's too busy.

control-arm bushings cannot be replaced separately, you may have to replace the control arm itself
