Bluetooth/USB integration to Becker CDR 220 - 2000 C2
Good evening,
I am looking at options to upgrade the radio in my 2000 C2. While I would love Apple Car Play I am content if I can connect my iPhone and/or iPod via USB to the existing Becker CDR 220. I personally feel like the sound is a bit better this way. I found a couple of options. Becker RCA adapter Yatour USB adapter Becker Bluetooth adapter I am using a cheap 12V lighter Bluetooth adapter, which plays through a radio station. This does not provide the best sound quality for the radio and the phone is not very effective either. Has anyone here tried one of these solutions? If so, what has your experience been?

Waste of time and money, get a proper aftermarket system.

I use the Becker RCA adapter (1st on list). Sound quality is at least as good as the FM or CD. I roll the cord and slip between the dash cubbies when not in use. The adapter should come with instructions to enable the AUX input on the stereo. Normally never listen to the radio, but on long road trips it is nice.

I am going with the RCA adapter. I seldom listen to the radio, but I do when stuck on an interstate for a while. The RCA adapter will work with my iPod or iPhone. The best thing is it is a cheap way to play music and a very quick and easy install.
An added benefit will be if I find I really want a Car Play radio in the future, I won't have much invested in this solution. I have the manual for the Becker radio which shows how to enable the aux adapter. As soon as the cable shows up, I will be in business. Thanks for the feedback.

For what it's worth, here is what I did, same model radio: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/959026-cdr-220-bluetooth-install.html. This was done with guts from a Logitec BT module.
I will replace this one more time with this module
