951 wing replacement

I really do not like the wing on the 944, it looks like if you take it off you will need a piece of molding to go around it.

Is there anywhere I can get molding to replace remove the wing for a smoother look ?

If not can someone point me to where I can get the material needed to covert it to a "s" style setup with just the small wing in the back ??

Huh? What wing? There's no wing on a 951.

Ah, the spoiler. Now the other question, what do you mean by "covert it to a "s" style setup"? The 944S and S2 had the exact same spoiler.

Yea well I once saw a 944 with a different spoiler I thought it was a cup car. I tried to go find it but couldnt.

Do you know of anywhere that has molding so you can remove the spoiler?

Short of fiting an OE 924 hatch (the early 924 car from the 70's didn't have any lip spoiler) or fitting a hatch from a 968 (which had an actual wing) I don't know of any easy way to do this. Mind you that even used hatches run several hundred dollars used. New units are well into the thousands.

hmm

I wonder if there is a company that could just make molding to fit around the hatch window like the top of the hatch for the rest so I can remove the spoiler.

They way its designed it seems you would have to have molding to fit on to cover the screw holes that the spolier use.

Well perhaps a Project for down the road. thanks for the info though.

Not too many choices...

S2/968 style....... normally you need the entire hatch to fit properly

968 Turbo S .... adjustable........KINDA big......

A bigger version of our own spoiler.... I can't remember the name.

But I agree a bolt on solution that could be removed would be great.

.... But no one has bothered. I am surprised the market for theses things would be HUGE.

The 968 spoiler goes straight on, four pieces, you have to make little brackets for 'cover' part, but if I can do it..
It is a huge improvement, but it isn't free

Yup, the 4 main pieces were off a 968, I then bought the 968 gaskets and the 968 third brakelight...
